This Privacy Policy explains how +Shop by MarketNation Inc. (“+Shop”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our websites, services, products, and applications (“+Shop Services”). By using +Shop Services, you consent to the practices described here.

Definitions

• “Company” or “MarketNation” or “MN” means MarketNation Inc., operator of +Shop, a distributed marketplace enabling people to Shop with Purpose™. 
• “+Shop” means an online store operated by MN as a retailer, through which authorized Brand products are sold. MN manages storefront, inventory, payments, shipping, returns, taxes, and customer support. 
• “Shopkeeper” means a user verified and approved by MN to promote and sell Products or facilitate Donations through the +Shop under these Terms. Shopkeepers represent a nonprofit or for profit fiduciary entity.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information to operate and improve +Shop Services.

• Information you provide: name, email, phone number, billing/shipping address, payment information, account details, reviews, and communications.
• Automatic information: device identifiers, IP address, browsing activity, usage data, cookies, and other identifiers.
• From other sources: updated delivery details from carriers, information from service providers (e.g., payment processors, analytics providers), and credit history from credit bureaus.
  
  

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

• Fulfill orders, deliver products, process payments, and provide customer support.
• Personalize your experience, recommend products, and deliver relevant content.
• Communicate with you about orders, promotions, or updates.

Duration: session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies last 30–365 days unless deleted.

Third parties: search engines, analytics providers, social media networks, and advertising companies may also set cookies to deliver relevant ads, measure performance, and provide services for +Shop.

Your choices: You may manage or block cookies in your browser. Blocking all cookies may disable some features such as cart or checkout. Where required by law, we request your consent for non-essential cookies.

• We do not sell your personal information, including under California law.
• We share it only with trusted service providers under contract (carriers, payment processors, customer service partners, analytics, and advertising providers).
• We disclose information when required by law, to protect security, or during business transfers (e.g., acquisition of +Shop assets).

We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards:

• Encryption protects data during transmission.
• We comply with PCI DSS when handling payment information.
• Safeguards include physical, electronic, and procedural measures.
• We may verify identity before disclosing account data.

Customers should protect their account credentials and sign out of shared devices.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
• Request portability of your data.
• Opt out of targeted advertising or certain processing activities.

You may also:

• Access and update your details in Your Account.
• Opt out of marketing emails via unsubscribe links.
• Manage cookies via browser/device settings.
• Adjust device permissions for location, contacts, or notifications.
• Contact Customer Support to exercise legal rights.

Cross-device tracking: we may link activity across devices or browsers when you are signed in, to provide a consistent experience. You may opt out of advertising, but you may need to manage preferences on each device.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to:

• Complete transactions and deliver services.
• Meet legal and regulatory requirements (for example, tax and accounting laws typically require retention of order/payment data for 7 years).
• Resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

When no longer needed, information is securely deleted or anonymized.

8. Children’s Privacy

+Shop does not sell products for purchase by children.

• If under 18, you may use +Shop Services only with a parent or guardian.

California residents (and similar jurisdictions) have additional rights, including:

• To know categories of personal information collected.
• To request access or deletion of their information.
• To opt out of targeted advertising or sharing.

+Shop do not sell California residents’ personal information as defined under CCPA/CPRA.

10. Amendments and Notice of Changes

MarketNation (“+Shop”) may modify these Terms or related Program Policies at any time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory updates. Any material change will be posted on the +Shop Legal page with the “Last Updated” date revised accordingly. Where required by law, +Shop will provide additional notice (such as email or in-account notification) before changes take effect. Continued use of +Shop Services or participation in the Shopkeeper Program after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between this Policy and the Shopkeeper Program Agreement, the terms of the Shopkeeper Program Agreement shall govern and control. This Policy is incorporated into and subject to the Shopkeeper Program Agreement and the other Program Policies referenced therein.
