Shopkeeper Program Participation Requirements

These Participation Requirements outline the terms for joining and remaining in the Shopkeeper Program, part of your marketing relationship with MarketNation Inc.

Definitions

  • “Company” or “MarketNation” or “MN” means MarketNation Inc., operator of +Shop, a distributed marketplace enabling people to Shop with Purpose™. 
  • “+Shop” means an online store operated by MN as a retailer, through which authorized Brand products are sold. MN manages storefront, inventory, payments, shipping, returns, taxes, and customer support. 
  • “Shopkeeper” means a user verified and approved by MN to promote and sell Products or facilitate Donations through the +Shop under these Terms. Shopkeepers represent a nonprofit or for profit fiduciary entity.

1. Enrollment and Eligibility

  • To apply, submit a complete and accurate Shopkeeper Program application identifying your +Shop(s).
  • +Shops must contain original, publicly accessible content.
  • We will review applications and determine eligibility at our sole discretion.

Unsuitable +Shops include those that:
 (a) promote sexually explicit or obscene content,
(b) promote violence, dangerous acts, or harmful behavior,
(c) contain false, deceptive, defamatory, or libelous material,
(d) promote hate, harassment, abuse, or discrimination,
(e) engage in or promote illegal activities,
(f) target children under 13 or otherwise violate child-protection laws,
(g) misuse MarketNation trademarks (including variants, misspellings, or use in domains, subdomains, tags, or usernames),
(h) infringe any intellectual property rights.

  • Applications rejected for unsuitable content may be resubmitted once corrected.
  • Accounts terminated for violations may not rejoin without prior written authorization from MarketNation.
  • Shopkeepers must keep all application and account information (including contact details) accurate and up to date. Notices sent to the email on file will be deemed received.
  • The Shopkeeper Program is free. MarketNation does not authorize third-party businesses to charge setup or consulting fees.

2. Responsibility for Your +Shop

You are solely responsible for your +Shop use, including:

  • Compliance with laws, regulations, industry standards, and the Agreement (e.g., FTC Endorsement Guides, GDPR, ePrivacy Directive).
  • Content accuracy for all materials and product descriptions.
  • Lawful use of Program Content and MarketNation Marks, ensuring no infringement of rights.
  • Privacy disclosures regarding cookies, pixels, and data collection, including opt-out information where required.
  • Use of Program Content strictly as permitted under the Agreement.
  • Technical operation and related equipment.

3. Promotional Limitations

You may not:

  • Conduct promotional, marketing, or advertising activities on behalf of MarketNation outside what is expressly permitted.
  • Use MarketNation Marks, Program Content, or links in offline promotions, print, emails, private messages, or oral solicitations without authorization.

4. Content on Your +Shop

You must:

  • Use Program Content as provided. You may resize images proportionally or truncate text without altering meaning but may not otherwise modify, obscure, or remove required elements (e.g., privacy links).
  • Not sell, sublicense, transfer, or redistribute Program Content or applications using Program Content outside your +Shop.
  • Avoid use of Program Content in ways implying endorsement, sponsorship, or tie-ins without authorization.
  • Not display Program Content alongside or in connection with spyware, malware, or harmful code.

Certification. Upon request, you must provide written confirmation of compliance with these Participation Requirements. Failure to do so will be a material breach of the Agreement.

5. Performance Monitoring and Deactivation

MarketNation reserves the right to monitor your participation, traffic quality, compliance, and performance within the Shopkeeper Program. If performance is unsatisfactory, traffic sources are deemed invalid, or violations are detected, MarketNation may suspend or terminate your participation at its sole discretion.

6. Approved Link and Tracking Usage

  • All links to +Shop must use the approved tracking formats and tools provided by MarketNation (including special links, deep links, and APIs).
  • You may not alter, obscure, or remove tracking parameters, or mask links in a way that interferes with accurate tracking and attribution.
  • Use of unauthorized links or modification of tracking tools may result in suspension or termination from the Shopkeeper Program.
7. Amendments and Notice of Changes

MarketNation (“+Shop”) may modify these Terms or related Program Policies at any time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory updates. Any material change will be posted on the +Shop Legal page with the “Last Updated” date revised accordingly. Where required by law, +Shop will provide additional notice (such as email or in-account notification) before changes take effect. Continued use of +Shop Services or participation in the Shopkeeper Program after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

 

Conflict of Terms

In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between this Policy and the Shopkeeper Program Agreement, the terms of the Shopkeeper Program Agreement shall govern and control. This Policy is incorporated into and subject to the Shopkeeper Program Agreement and the other Program Policies referenced therein.
